I’m trying to be kind to my self and not worry about intrusive thoughts and my ocd, I really try but nothing changes. I want to give up, positive thinking is just not me, what my ocd is now telling me is making me realise ocd is in control.

          Hi!

I get this, I’ve felt like this a lot in my life. Try to think of your mind as a bus. You’re the driver and the passengers are your OCD and intrusive thoughts, although they may distract you and try to grab hold of the wheel, only you have full control of the wheel, gears and pedals. You get to decide where it goes, not them. Tell yourself that you are in charge, you can decide what happens.

I know it sounds cliche but meditation really does help, the more you do it the more you teach yourself to control your mind!
