I just started dating this guy, and it’s going really well but I’ve been overwhelmed with a lot of intrusive thoughts. I’m in love and safe so I self sabotage and thinks it means danger. Saying things as oh you’re not ready, you’re not over your ex and like getting me to remember the memories and see how I feel. I genuinely think because I react with a lot of anxiety that’s why it doesn’t help and freaks me out but when I’m over with the panicking I realise how actually silly I’m being. I’m very much in love with that person and I want to be with him. I’m not worrying about not telling him abt the intrusive thoughts as no need but I’m feeling guilty cos I’m seeing him soon, so excited and I just know it’s gonna try make me feel guilty like I’ve been hurting him this whole time. When realistically that is completely insane, I’d never been suffering this much especially if it wasn’t for someone who I wasn’t in love with.
