Free online support while you’re waiting for OCD treatment

When you live with OCD, waiting for treatment can feel overwhelming. You don’t have to face that wait alone.

The Bridge is a free, eight-week online psychoeducation programme run by national charity OCD Action. It’s designed to support young people and their families while they wait for treatment, by helping them understand OCD, prepare for therapy, and feel less alone.

The programme is for:

  • Young people aged 14–25 who are waiting for treatment for OCD
  • Parents and carers of young people in this age range

The Bridge is not therapy and does not replace treatment. Instead, it helps young people and families to:

  • Understand OCD
  • Learn what evidence-based treatment involves
  • Prepare for starting therapy
  • Find ways to cope while waiting

What to expect

  • 8 weekly online sessions (via Zoom)
  • Separate group sessions for:
    • Young people
    • Parents and carers
  • Young people’s groups are split by age:
    • 14–17
    • 18–25
  • Each group is co-led by:
    • An OCD Action staff member or lead volunteer
    • A facilitator with lived experience of OCD
  • Groups are kept small and supportive
