Hi; I have these terrible thoughts and urges that can seem very real but I’m quite sure they’re intrusive thoughts. I would never carry through with any of them because they are sometimes violent thoughts which terrify me. How can I know they’re not real or show I desire to hurt anyone? Should I try to find a  therapist who knows about ocd?

If the thoughts disturb you and you seek to be rid of them then that’s a sign of ocd.

Yes, try to find a therapist, maybe through your doctor.
