I’m so proud of my son getting into university while fighting ocd but now he seems to have a new form of ocd and it’s centers around everyone thinking he’s cheating doing research. He obsesses that professors think he cheats by coping everything from the internet. I try to tell him even if comes off the internet, it isn’t cheating because he doesn’t use it word for word.
But he really believes everyone thinks his research is outright cheating. I tell him you aren’t a cheat, you’re using resources for to all students. I tell him he can prove he’s not cheating when he sits exams, cause he’ll only use his memory, he can’t use computers in there. Are there any parents out there with kids with cheating ocd? Please share thoughts and advice with with me? I can really use your help.
