I try to keep my thoughts positive, I’ll hold on to a happy thought, which makes things a lot easier even though I’ve developed a need to be perfect but I know where my limits are and try to remember that the world doesn’t need to be surgically clean. I try to use CBT to challenge and accept that so far nobody here has got ill, and that is evidence. Some CBT can be quite extreme, but we need to remember we’re a lot safer than we think we are and we do not have to be perfect. We must continue the fight against ocd and remember a few bad germs around us can actually be good for us.
