Hi I heard social services has a poor reputation for helping children with ocd who MAY be diagnosed after years of self torture. They don’t know what they are doing. Is my GP  the best person to probably help my son with ocd and get him the right help and support?

Yes, GP should be better. I’ve heard of some pretty grim stories involving Social Services.
