I am at the end of my tether with my 18 year old daughter who has very extreme contamination ocd. She is so bad at that moment she will not go to university, go on public transport, sit on furniture at home, touch anything in the house unless she is wearing socks on her hands.
She also changes her clothes if she thinks they are contaminated even if she is just in the house! She had had CBT in the past but I think she needs to go in a residential place that can help her. Can anyone give me any advice please? It is in the house 24hrs a day!
It is also causing problems with my husband and We will probably split up over it. She has holed herself in her bedroom as she doesn’t want to walk on any floors in the house! It’s just hell on earth!
