Hurt to Healing is a new podcast created by mental health activist Pandora Morris. In the podcast, Pandora explores different mental health conditions through long form interviews with people with lived experience, professional experts and well known public figures.
In the podcast’s first episode, Pandora is interviewed by Anneka Rice about her experience of living with OCD since childhood. Pandora explores her early childhood and the impact it may have had on her mental health, her school life and early manifestations of OCD and anorexia. She also discusses how she struggled in her 20s and battled her illnesses alongside being a lawyer, and the help she received over these difficult years. In later episodes, Pandora speaks to Professor David Veale about OCD and Dr Amita Jassi about BDD.
Pandora says: “I wanted to start the podcast with a very special episode and an incredibly special person who has known me for many years. Anneka Rice is a TV presenter, radio host, author and artist who has known me since I was a little girl. She’s witnessed a lot of my journey, and I thought there was no better way to begin the podcast than to have her ask me a few questions so that you can all get to know me a little better and understand why I’m really doing this podcast.”
