Sometimes I get an intrusive thought on top of an intrusive thought so it goes like this: 1. intrusive thought happens 2. I then get an intrusive thought that if I don’t counteract the thought by performing my ritual to eradicate the thought before I leave the house then the thought will happen or that I want the thought to happen. So what do I do? I LEAVE THE HOUSE without performing my ritual. This is called exposure response therapy and it really helps. Basically anything which triggers your OCD which you would tend to avoid. Do these things more. We are in control of our lives not OCD XX
