Intrusive thoughts are just thoughts, really??

Hi I’m tired of hearing “intrusive thoughts are just thoughts and not you”. Really?? I don’t believe that because part of you puts them there yourself. Dreams are like that too.  These thoughts aren’t anyones fault but my own. So I must be a bad person.

You may do better to see thoughts as being like clouds forming and transforming, drifting through the sky.

Ask yourself the question, “Who is this I who is supposedly a bad person?”

You don’t put thoughts in your head. They just come into consciousness.

I feel the same. I get the most terrible thoughts and it’s entertaining them that makes me feel like I’m responsible for them and I’m such a bad person 🙁
