Do people with OCD often isolate themselves? I know I do? Anyone else?

For me there’s an anxiety with social settings in that ‘what if something triggers me or something pops into my head’ and because I’m feeling more anxious it usually does. And then I can’t relax and be myself because I’m spinning out inside my head. So it’s easier just to isolate myself.
But I also recognize this as the worst possible thing to do, so I also force myself to go out anyway.
