Intrsuive thoughts all of a sudden

Hi: I’ve had OCD for years. No intrusive thoughts just obsessions about contamination and compulsions. But lately, I’m been having really disturbing intrusive thoughts on top of all this. Can this just happen all of a sudden? Can OCD change like this?

In my experience, yes it can. It will target whatever bothers you the most and tear you apart. I started with thoughts of my arm falling off, then sexual ones about relatives, then it moved onto Pocd which IMO is the absolute worst you can get. I’ve had virtually every type of obsession and yes it does change. I hope you are safe and keeping well (apart from the ocd)
