It can be something small, like a modest cake sale, or something big, like a fancy organised event. Either way, it will be a huge help to people with OCD!
Take a peek at some of the things you could do for us:
Cake sale
Who doesn’t love cakes? It’s simple to do, can be held at your workplace, and can get the cause out there to people. Or why not take advantage of the recent TV sensation by organising a “Bake Off” where the proceeds go to OCD Action?
Quiz night
Putting on a quiz is an easy way to raise money while also giving your brain a run for its money! Organise a pub quiz, or a quiz night in your workplace, and donate the proceeds to OCD Action.
Coffee morning
Have a nice, informal coffee morning or tea party and charge people a small donation to attend.
Dinner Party
Next time you’re hosting a dinner party for a few friends, why not bill it as a charity evening and charge them a small fee to attend?
Concert
Are you musically talented? Try putting on a charity gig, and donating a percentage of the ticket sales to OCD Action.
Movie night
Have some friends over to watch some fantastic films, and ask them to make a small donation to attend.
Raffles
A raffle is a tried-and-tested way of fundraising. You can even combine it with most of the other suggestions on this page to make the most of your event!
Charity Evening
Organise a fancy dress party or another kind of event and donate profits from the ticket sales towards OCD Action.
Life Events
Is it your birthday? Or are you getting married? Ask your friends and family to make a donation to OCD Action instead of buying you birthday presents or wedding gifts.
Setting up a Facebook fundraiser is a quick and easy way to raise funds for OCD Action and is a popular choice when organising a birthday fundraiser. Alternatively, you can set up a JustGiving page for your family and friends.
Paying in your donations
You can pay the funds you have raised for OCD Action by clicking through to our online fundraising payment form. Thank you so much for your support.
We can send you various materials to use in these events, such as:
- A snazzy collection tin or bucket
- A letter of support explaining OCD and why you’re putting on the event
- An A4 poster
- An OCD Action t-shirt
- Various leaflets about OCD itself and the services of the charity
