I have SO MUCH stuff already and really doubt treatment for OCD will be very effective for me. I always try to get the best I can out of things, which means I’m not responsible for saving everything for everyone, but only the really special stuff, I’m keeping for museums. I want others, museum professionals to take responsibility for my collectables, people with room to store and maintain my very special items, and keep those on display, so I the public can admire my collection. And really, I have enough stuff already. My GP wants to refer me to a CBT therapist, a mental health professional, who can help me with my “issues”. I don’t have any and don’t want teaching on ways to “combat” my OCD. There are some brilliant things about having OCD. Why can’t people just accept that?
