I have ocd and I’m at university, doing research that includes using books from the library. But I really worry about used book contamination, like a lot. I can’t buy new books as they’re really expensive. I try to find everything I need for research on the internet. But sometimes I still have to touch those filthy books.

I think if all my research comes off the internet, then that’s cheating. My mum says it’s not i.e. if I learn something from like youtube. I keep telling myself that online  research is not cheating, and it’s best for me as I don’t have to touch dirty books with my hands. What do you think? Am I cheating when I don’t use books, and is that really okay.?
