    Hi there, as soon as I hear them coming, I  try to prevent the compulsions entering my main thoughts. I push them away quickly, before they get fully into my consciousness and then gain power. I verbally dismiss them, like pushing something physically  away from me in a conflict. The less thought I gove over to them, the less power they have over me. It takes practise, but it can most definitely be done…
