Hi; I think my son has OCD but I’m confused about something, I read on this forum that his intrusive thoughts are thoughts he doesn’t put there himself. Then I also read that everyone gets these kind of thoughts but they don’t ruminate on these thoughts. What does ruminate mean and how do I know if my son does it?

To go over and over the same things in your head.

Maybe you could ask him, or wait till he volunteers the information.
