When people talk about medication on this forum, do they mean there are meds specifically for specific types of OCD? I wasted a lot of time with the wrong meds I think when I was really doing bad with OCD related to bad intrusive thoughts. So, I personally don’t think meds work. But am I wrong? Is there standard meds for all OCDers?

Not that I’ve heard of but could be wrong. Most people will find themselves on antidepressants. Most people I’ve spoken to have found the best benefits come from a combination of medication and other therapies such as exposure therapy or CBT. But sorry I don’t know a great deal about medications. Hope things take a turn for the better for you 🙂
