I agree with Iris, it would be a good idea to seek some guidance from an OCD specialist. Don't worry - they will have heard it all before, there won't be any thoughts / worries that they haven't come across before.
When you have the right tools to beat OCD it doesn't really matter if the thoughts are true or not. The whole basis of recovery is accepting yourself unconditionally, whether you like dogs or you're not into dogs. It doesn't matter.
