The Central London OCD Support Group is open to people who have (or think they might have) OCD or a related disorder, their family members, their carers and their friends. It is an informal but structured meeting where people affected can talk to others in a friendly, non-judgmental way. The group does not offer therapy or professional guidance, but is an opportunity to share thoughts, ideas and strategies, and to provide mutual support.
Directions to the Venue:
Nearest Tube station:
Goodge Street (Northern Line (Charing Cross branch))
From the exit of Goodge Street tube station turn right, then turn first left into Chenies Street. At the end of Chenies Street cross Gower Street and The 52 Club is just opposite. It's just 5 minutes' walk.
Buses 10, 14, 24, 29, 73, 134, 390.
Southbound buses: get off at Chenies Street (stop D) in Gower Street. The bus stop is right outside The 52 Club.
Northbound buses: get off at Goodge Street Station (stop A) in Tottenham Court Road. From the bus stop walk back to Goodge Street tube station then follow directions as above. It's just 5 minutes' walk.
There is no known allocated car parking for this venue but please enquire if you need to find car parking.
The 52 Club is in the basement of Bonham Carter House. Please enter through the small archway in the railings just before the bus stop and go down the steps - there is no need to enter Bonham Carter House. An external lift is available by the bus stop.
The group will normally be in the large room to the left as you enter the Club, but may occasionally be in the smaller room on the right - just look for a sign showing 'Support Group'.
Please Note: While the room in The 52 Club we will be using has a bar it will be closed and alcohol will not be available / visible
Due to the need to pay for room hire a small cash contribution is requested at each meeting - this will normally be between £2.00 and £2.50 per person per meeting, but if anyone is unable to pay this will not prevent them attending. There is no other charge for the group.
Dates for 2018:
All meetings are 7pm - 9.30pm.
The meetings normally start promptly at 7pm, and sometimes finish a little after 9.30pm, but it is OK to arrive a little late or to leave early.
13th December (second half will be a social evening - please check before coming)
(no meeting 27th December - replaced by a meeting on 3 Jan 2019)
