Bodily awareness and dance

Lauren Millman is a PhD researcher at Goldsmiths, University of London, together with Dr. Guido Orgs (Goldsmiths), Dr. Devin Terhune (Goldsmiths) and Dr. Elaine Hunter (King's College) are running a study examining bodily awareness in dance and movement. For the study they are looking to recruit individuals with anxiety disorders, including OCD. 

The study involves learning to perform two different dance/movement exercises and completing questionnaires and computerised tasks measuring bodily awareness and mood.

The study takes place across two, two-week periods, with a 4-6 week break in between and participants are compensated £40 total (£20 for each two-week study period).

The study has received ethical approval from Goldsmiths, University of London.

If you decide to take part, you will be given a copy of the information sheet and a signed consent form to keep. The research depends entirely on the goodwill of potential volunteers such as you. If you require any further information, the researchers will be pleased to help you in any way they can. You will receive a payment of £40.00 for participation in the study.
