The OCD Action office will be open up to and including Friday 21st December and will re-open Thursday 2nd January. We will continue to run some of our support services over Christmas, as we realise that it can be just as difficult time as any for people affected by OCD, BDD or a related disorder.
The OCD Action office will be open up to and including Friday 22nd December and will re-open Tuesday 2nd January. We realise that OCD does not take a break for Christmas, so we will continue to run some of our services, but with more limited availability than usual.
Our Advocacy Service for adults with a diagnosis of OCD has now been running for 5 years and remains the only OCD-specific service in the UK. Our evaluation looks back over the difference we have made to the lives of those we have worked with, what we have learned along the way and how we see the future of the service.
OCD Advocacy 500
Our unique OCD Advocacy service has now supported 500 people since it was launched in 2009. We have helped people to access quality treatment, to stay in education, keep their job, have suitable accommodation and fight the discrimination that they face. We are immensely proud to have reached this significant milestone. Huge thanks to all our advocacy volunteers across the country for all their hard work and to our funders at Comic Relief and The Lloyds Bank Foundation for making it possible.
