I’ve tried CBT in the past, and no disrespect to any therapist out there but personally i don’t think any amount of cbt has helped my OCD. I’ve heard the same thing over and over again and i know what I’m suppose to be do, heck i could be the therapist but “knowing” and “doing” are two very different things. At the end of the day, ocd is thought to be neurobiolgical and we need specific medication to treat the disorder, like any other disease or condition out there. I’m constantly researching to see if scientists have come up with any new drug or treatments for ocd, i see biohaven pharmaceuticals are trialing a new drug called Troriluzole. Here’s hoping it’s successful ?
