smoothing effect

I have ocd and tourettes and I feel that ocd medication has a smoothing effect on me. At first I was kinda scared of meds because I thought I’d have terrible side effects. But now, it has stopped me panicing and being depressed. But i also kinda worry that this smooting feeling is bad. anyone else experienced this
