You can Be a Media VolunteeR!

      What do media volunteers do?

At OCD Action, we have a team of media volunteers who share their personal experiences of OCD and related conditions with journalists. Becoming a media volunteer is an excellent way to bring a human touch to news stories, challenge misconceptions, and raise awareness of the reality of living with OCD.

As a media volunteer, we may contact you to participate in various activities such as appearing on TV or taking part in interviews for magazine or newspaper articles. We know that speaking to the media can feel daunting, especially if you’re sharing things that are quite personal, so we will always provide you with support every step of the way. We understand the importance of confidentiality, and we will never share your name or contact details with a journalist without your permission.

Who can become a media volunteer?

Anyone affected by OCD or a related condition is welcome to sign up to become a media volunteer, regardless of your background. That includes family members and loved ones.

For more details on your future as an OCD Action Media Volunteer, see our website: https://ocdaction.org.uk/volunteer/media-volunteering/
