Hi evil OCD thoughts randomly pop up in my head and confuse me because sometimes I agree with them. I also ruminate on them to try and understand them but now I’m in a depressive episode. I’m considering therapy because I can’t live with this. Anyone recommend trying to get help? Also, I’m thinking I want to try meds… good or bad idea?

Hi there, Medicines can often help, also, reading up on the OCD enemy/bully. Battle tactics… Have a read through the items in the green tab, ‘Learn about OCD, above this note. Definitely grab all the help you can find, cos OCD is a life ruiner, but we all have the right to be happy in our lives. There are also books to help. My favourite writer is Dr David Burns MD. His stuff is available from Amazon, initially, but I believe libraries stock his books, and good bookshops can get his books. A very good read, he helps us to start to believe in ourselves again. Yes… Go for it!

        Welcome,

        Wannabe
