so lately I’ve been experiencing dissociation & depsonalization because of anxiety and occasionally my pure o thought and I’m terrified that I’ll eventually develop multiple personalities, which I’ve read is connected to dissociation & dp. can anyone tell me if it’s true? I don’t want to end up with this!

I honestly have no idea. But I’ve experienced my personality changing a lot as well. It changes from when I am with family, to when I’m with my therapist, to other family memebers, to friends, to when I’m alone Etc. It’s something I can’t really control. I hate my personality so I’m trying to change it, so maybe that’s why it’s like this. Idk. But it ends up with me just not knowing who I am, and of course questioning if I have borderline personality disorder, sosiopathy, etc..

yeah, I get your situation. for me, sometimes I feel like I’m on auto pilot, so It makes me think that inside I’m freaking out and outside i’m ok. which makes me feel like I’m two different persons. but In reality i’m probably just try to keep everything in while trying not to crack outside. sometimes I also feel like I have no personality... which is weird. but I guess I just have to accept that if it happens, it happens. I’ve read that people get multiple personalities because of childhood trauma, which i’ve never had. so I don’t know If my anxiety/pure o is strong enough to actually brake me like that... I just don’t want to feel crazy... I don’t want to live like that...

I understand. I wish I knew what you could do to feel better.. but I don’t :/ just speak to someone about it, and get help with your ocd and hopefully these feelings will fade away

The human mind can beat anything but it needs new information to do so.
