Hi! My name is Saya and I’ve recently been looking into my mental health. For about the past 3+ years I’ve always had my “rituals” I guess you would call them. I had to do things and this little voice told me that if I didn’t something bad would happen to the people I loved. I always assumed that was normal until I became obsessed with numbers. I have good numbers (3,7,9,13) and bad numbers (2,6,. If there’s a bad number like 4 that I can’t change I have to justify it (seeing it as 3+1+0.) I always have to do things in multiples of 3 and it feels that I’m always on the lookout for bad numbers. I also have a fear of deceisons and that I’m responsible if something bad happens to my family. I have frequent panic attacks (for example my family had to go away for a meet and after they left I couldn’t breathe because I was so scared that it would be my fault if they got injured). Every single action feels like there’s a consequence. I have to say certain phrases three times before my parents leave the house because if I don’t they’ll get into a car crash. I know in my mind that my fears are irrational and if I don’t do something 2 times instead of 3 nothing bad will happen. But it seems to be getting worse and worse. I don’t know what to do but I don’t want to overeact and tell someone if it’s not serious. If any of you guys have any advice or if this is OCD I would greatly appreciate any replies

Sounds like classic OCD, but only a professional can diagnose you. It's absolutely serious if it begins to take over your day to day. I think it's time for you to see a professional and get some help.

Good Luck!

Nature doesn’t distribute energy evenly therefore, numbers have no power. There is an ocd quiz at top of page.
