As you might already know, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect across the EU on 25th May 2018.

At OCD Action, we will continue to protect our forum users’ data to the highest standards, and in line with the new regulations.

So that we can comply with GDPR, we need to make sure that every forum user understands exactly what data we hold for you and why we collect it, along with how we ensure it is protected and managed responsibly.

Please read the following carefully. It includes information about:

  • Our Privacy Policy
  • Registering for a forum user account: the data you provided us with when you registered for a new account and
  • How you can ask us to remove your data

Privacy Policy

OCD Action believes strongly in protecting user privacy. Users of our forums should refer to our Privacy Policy to fully inform themselves of how OCD Action uses and collects information. You can find our Privacy Policy at:

Please be advised that your use of this site constitutes your acceptance of the provisions of any areas of the Privacy Policy related to the website. If you do not agree to these provisions, you should immediately terminate your access to and not use the Site.

You can also request that we delete your forum user account. For more information, see the section below: “How to request that we remove your data”

Registering for a forum user account

When you registered for a forum user account using our “Create new account form” we asked you to provide us with a valid email address. We used this email address to set up your forum user account.

We would like to remind you that the new account form includes a disclaimer that says: “All e-mails from the system will be sent to this address. The e-mail address is not made public and will only be used if you wish to receive a new password or wish to receive certain news or notifications by e-mail.”

When you register with our forums, or contact us about the forum, we may contact you but only in relation to our forums. We will never use the email address you provide to contact you about anything else.

Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and Forum Terms of Use

When registering for a forum user account using the “Create new account form”, we also asked you to read and agree with our:

1. Terms and Conditions

We asked you: “Do you agree to our terms and conditions?” and provided a link to our Terms of Use page at

2. Privacy Policy

We also asked: “By signing up with OCD Action you agree with our Privacy Policy, and Forum Terms of Use.”

We provided you with links to our:

How to ask us to remove your data

You can email a Moderator at at any time to request that we delete your forum user account. This will ensure that we remove all data we have collected about you or you have provided to us. This will also include deleting all of your topics and posts (unless you state otherwise).

Once we receive your request, we will delete your account within 48 hours.

To delete your account, we need to ask you for:

  - The user name associated with the account that you want us to delete

  - The email address that matches the one associated with the account that you want deleted.

When we delete your account, we will also delete all of your posts and comments.

Once the account has been deleted, the action cannot be reversed. If you want to rejoin the forum in the future, then you'd need to set up a new account.

Once you have provided us with the information we've asked for, we can proceed to delete your account.

 Any Questions?

Please email and a Moderator will reply and take action as soon as they can. You can also send a private message to a Moderator, and the next available Moderator will reply to you.
