Hi Dave

Even though my main therapy focused more on the CBT side of things, we did do a few exposure type activities when the therapist stood near the window and told me to throw him outside the window. I remember at the time I was mentioning that I did feel a tiny bit scared but not too much because the window was high up and it would of taking some effort to pick him up and throw him out the window.

Another one I remember doing was if my mind was telling me to break my glasses, the therapist said okay lets try something, if you could take off your glasses and I will start to make some suggestions to you by telling you break your glasses I know you want to break your glasses.

It felt so silly but I think that was the point he was trying to get at.

Most of my ocd is focused on harm thoughts but it could tiny things such as my mind taunting me to type something rude on the computer to causing harm to a loved one. Even writing about the glasses scenario has panic me a little bit but when I remember back to the therapy, it's silly the thoughts, I can't let them get to me.

Hows things yourself Dave? Have you tried any exposure type therapy?
