Did you receive any hilarious or weird presents?

As well as the sensible or thoughtful presents that we received this year, I’m sure that many must have also received presents that were perhaps hilarious, tacky, useless or even weird.

Did you receive any presents like that this year?

I was given a scraper for getting ice off windscreens - A useless present for me as I don't own a car.

Hi Truddles

I got a video game one Christmas which I haven't got round till this day yet but I promised my brother I will get round to it especially being an adventure video game fan.

Our most amusing one is a 2013 calendar and exactly the same as one we received last Christmas!

I got a pair of tea towels again this year, the same as for the last few years. I think it is to help explain the phenomenom of diminishing numbers: I do the Christmas food shoping where there are lots of people in the shops, then I cook the Christmas dinner where a few people come into the kitchen to taste some snippets and for a sneak preview, then after dinner I do the washing up where nobody is to be seen as there is only one person - me! I wish I could understand what it is about OCD that makes people quite happy to avoid the shopping (something I hate) and the cooking, but to enjoy the meal and then avoid the washing-up like the plague.

But on a lighter note, for a number of years I have given wine to some friends who have also given me wine - an excellent arrangement. About six years ago I gave them the wine in a very nice hessian wine enthusiast carrier. The next Christmas their gift of wine to me was in the same carrier, and so it started - every year the carrier gets used to give one or the other of us some wine.

Glug, glug, merry Christmas.

Wine- my absolute favourite alcohol

I got running tights this year, and got asked to try them on- which I obviously couldn't as my operated knee is a size of a football but no one wanted to listen!

It may be a few months till I get to wear them

I too got a pair of tea towels complete with matching mugs. Okay they were pretty but why would you need matching tea towels and mugs?

Hi there... I must be the only one who didn't... To be honest, I went and chose my presents, to enable me to get at least a few things I wanted... Wannabe
