Following some very exciting news, our Lead Advocate, Kenna, will be taking some time away from OCD Action. Whilst away on maternity leave, we are currently looking to recruit a new Lead Advocate to fill Kenna's shoes.
OCD Action's Advocacy service is the only one of its kind in the UK. Working with people who have OCD to secure their rights to access quality treatment and to be treated fairly at home, in education and at work. The service has recently secured 5 years funding from the Big Lottery Fund.
In this role you will be responsible for providing direct advocacy to a small number of people with OCD and (with OCD Actions National Advocacy Manager) for the recruitment, training, supervision & support of a team of volunteers.
You will be an experienced advocate with excellent communication skills and a sound understanding of relevant legislation. You will have successfully managed volunteers in previous roles and will have a proven track record in developing productive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
