A huge well done to Rachel Bailey and Lewis Sullivan of Seek Solace, the support group for OCD and Hoarding in York.
This Sunday the two of them ran the ASDA Foundation York 10K, a tough but picturesque run through the gorgeous Northern city. And they both smashed it, raising £360 and £80 respectively for OCD Action, adding up to a whopping £500 including Gift Aid!
Here is a photo of the two of them during the event:
Thank you Rachel for not only setting up an excellent support group which provides a much needed service to people living with OCD in York and its surrounding areas, but then doing this run on top of that! And thank you Lewis for bringing your support, for which Rachel describes herself as incredibly grateful. You’ve both done an incredible service for people with OCD.
All over the country are amazing support groups like Rachel and Lewis’s. If you are affected by OCD, BDD, Hoarding or other related disorders, or have a loved one who is, then the support groups can offer a chance to talk and listen to people who have been through similar things to you. You can find your nearest support group here, and a list of online support groups here.
So congratulations to Rachel and Lewis, and to all of the other support group facilitators and members all over the country making life easier for people with the disorder.
