2016: A New Year in Fundraising!

2015 was an absolutely thrilling year for community fundraising at OCD Action! From Jack Pridmore’s epic journey around England in February, to Alex and James’s 3-peak challenge in July, to Lowri Hadden’s gruelling Tough Mudder in September, we’ve had people all year round going to great lengths (and heights!) to raise money and awareness for our cause.

And from the looks of things, 2016 is going to be even more exciting!

Here’s a quick preview of all of the incredible events that we have coming up in the first few months of the year:

15th February: First out of the gate we have Jack Pridmore, who you may remember him from his epic journey around England this time last year. This year, on the first day of our Week of Action, he will be doing 24 very different miles (such as climbing a mile, carrying weights for a mile and even carrying a person for a mile) in one day in an attempt to raise £1000. Please do visit Jack's website, I Did My Mile, and donate to his JustGiving page here!

28th February: Philippa and Charlie Marriott (who married in 2015 and generously asked their wedding guests to donate to OCD Action) will both be taking place in the Kingston Half Marathon in order to raise a target of £100. Donate to their JustGiving page here!

13th March: Another Half Marathon, this time by Youth Advisory Panel member Dean Breed! This March Dean will be running his legs off in the Bath Half Marathon (or BATHALF as it is affectionately known). Please donate to his Virgin Money Giving page here!

20th March: John Rowlands will not only be running the Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon, but he will be doing the whole thing in a monkey onesie! Visit his JustGiving page here!

We have all of this and more to look forward to, and the year has barely even started!

Feel inspired by any of these activities? Or perhaps you have your own idea of a fundraising event to do for us? Whether it’s a huge mountain climb or a smaller activity like wearing a certain colour for a day, just get in touch with Phil at or on 020 7253 5272 and we’ll do our best to help!
