This weekend was arguably pretty disappointing for Australia, with their last-minute Eurovision defeat at the hands of Ukraine. But fortunately, things have gone better for our very own Australian fundraiser!
Remember Elyse Clare Brodigan, who was set to run the Great Ocean Road Half Marathon last Sunday? Well, she did it! She managed to run 23 km in 2 hours 15 minutes, which is pretty impressive if you ask us! And she’s managed to raise an unbelievable $401.33 (which with Gift Aid is $460.53), which is MUCH higher than her $150 target. Now if that isn’t worth douze points, what is?
Now isn’t too late to donate to her JustGiving page either and help her to raise even more.
Elyse was pretty chuffed at her victory, saying “It felt so great to fly the flag for OCD Action here in Australia... I really couldn't have chosen a better charity to raise money for”. Thank you Elyse, and it’s us that couldn’t have found a better fundraiser!
Here are some pics of Elyse celebrating her win:
Congratulations Elyse, and best of luck with everything in the future!
