OCD Action’s ‘Better Together’ Project was set up back in February 2013 to work closely and in partnership with OCD, BDD groups. When OCD Action successfully secured further funding the project became ‘Even Better Together’ and now, 'Always Better Together'.
As many facilitators are also people with OCD (or related conditions), it is vital they have the option of help, support and access to peer supervision when they need it, which the project delivers via a team of eight volunteers (based around the UK) and two OCD Actions Staff members: Keira Bartlett, Groups & Communities Manager and Rebecca Harper Robinson, Project Assistant, based in Cromer, North Norfolk. The Always Better Together project also provides training and networking opportunities for all facilitators and space to share ideas about running a support group, as well as helping people start up their own local support group. The majority of groups the project works with are peer led, with a handful being peer led with professional support .
