    The answer to the subject question is yes. It does come and go. Without treatment. But it doesn't have to.

    Usually there are triggers for it and most of them are completely avoidable. In no particular order

    - Being super hungover / coming down from a drug

    I have recently completed 8 sessions of specialised OCD therapy. It works if you're willing to put in the work. The sessions have turned from educating me and telling me what to put in to practice to me coming back and reporting how I'm getting on.

    Hey John, 

    A similar thing happened to me while I was working in the city. I just didn't realise it was OCD at the time so kept going and kept trying all sorts of processing and digging type self therapy. Wrong approach and made me much worse.
