Exploring Emotions and Cognitions in Hoarding

Research by Dr Steve Kellett and Adam Postlethwaite:

Adam Postlethwaite is a trainee Clinical Psychologist at Sheffield University and he is seeking people who self identify as "hoarders" to participate in a research study.

The aim of this study is to find out more about the experience of hoarding by exploring what thoughts and emotions people have in relation to their hoarding.

You can participate by taking an online survey (approximately 25 minutes). Please note that this survey does not support mobile browsers so participants must use a laptop/PC.

If you choose to participate you will be asked to provide some brief information about yourself and then to complete some questionnaires that explore your experience of hoarding. Following these you will be asked to complete a unique task which involves ranking statements about hoarding depending on how much you agree or disagree with them.

Alternatively Adam is available to visit support groups to speak to people, in which case they can participate in person using traditional paper and pen methods.
