Work for us - Director

We are half way through 2016 and what an exciting year it has been so far for OCD Action. The demand for our services is higher than ever; this signifies that awareness of OCD is improving, and people are reaching out and seeking the help they deserve.

We also have an exciting opportunity that we can’t wait to share with you.

OCD Action is currently recruiting for a new and outstanding Director to lead our hard working team. As you know, OCD Action works for a society where OCD is better understood and diagnosed quickly, where appropriate treatment options are open and accessible, where support and information are readily available and where nobody feels ashamed to ask for help. We are here because OCD ruins lives, it tears families apart and leaves people isolated and exhausted. Our job is to help people affected by OCD to fight back.  As Director of OCD Action your role will be to lead this fight. You will act as the figurehead for the charity ensuring that our stakeholders and the wider public understand the importance of our work and are motivated to support what we do.

OCD Action has a small and hard-working team covering the areas of administration, fundraising, media, helpline, advocacy, youth and support groups. In addition, we have a large number of enthusiastic and committed volunteers who help deliver frontline services.  As Director, you will need to have a hands on approach, working to familiarise yourself with and proactively oversee all the services we deliver and be involved in all areas of the charity’s work.  A proven track record in service development, implementation, management, and evaluation is essential, as is a strong grasp of fundraising and finances.

Please read the Job Description and Person Specification and apply with a CV and cover letter.  The cover letter must outline how you meet the criteria in the person specification. Please send applications to recruitment@ocdaction.org.uk.

The deadline for this job application is Sunday 26th June at 5pm. We look forward to hearing from you.
