In the last few years, we have seen a huge increase in people taking on fundraising challenges to raise money for OCD Action and raise awareness of OCD. They are such an integral part of our team, and without their support and dedication, we could not carry out the work we do.
As you may have noticed, this year has been the busiest and most exciting year yet for fundraising events, so what better time to welcome our first ever Lead Fundraiser, Charlie Loveday to the team. Charlie joined OCD Action last October as a volunteer, and since then, has shown just how passionate he is about improving the lives of people affected by OCD.
"I’m beyond thrilled to be working for this wonderful charity. I’ve been volunteering here for the best part of a year (I’m the culprit responsible for all the terrible pun headlines!) and the charity is very close to my heart. Having been diagnosed with OCD myself only this time last year I am aware of how debilitating a condition it can be, and how important it is to increase awareness and make sure people have access to proper treatment. I hope to build on the excellent work done by Philip (Moore) in reaching out to fundraisers. We couldn’t do what we do without their help, so I want to make both existing and potential supporters feel both valued and supported, and help them realise just how much people with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder benefit from their contributions."
With Charlie's clear passion, dedication and enthusiasm, we have no doubt that he will make a lasting difference to the work OCD Action do.
