We’re super excited about all of the amazing fundraising coming up this year, and the first event is coming from our very own Youth Action Panel. Not only are the new YAP committed to improving the lives of young people with OCD all over the country and raising awareness of the disorder, they’re also leading the way with fundraising!
It’s only a few weeks until our Week of Action (20th-26th February), and to raise awareness for the week and donations for the charity three members of our wonderful new YAP – Molly, Alisha and Becca – are going to be putting on a series of coffee mornings and bake sales all across the country. With events in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland almost the entire UK will be represented!
First up will be Molly, the YAP’s Web & Digital Advisor, who will be putting on a Coffee Morning this Thursday (9th February) at her college. It promises to be a fantastic chance to raise awareness of OCD – and we’re sure the coffee will be great too!
Second will be Alisha, who is in charge of the YAP’s Media and Campaigns. Alisha will be holding a bake sale at her school on 24th February, the Friday of our Week of Action. Getting to eat cakes and raise money for OCD Action in the process? What’s not to love!
Third will be Becca, the Events Advisor, who is responsible for organising the series of events. Seeing out the Week of Action, Becca is holding a coffee morning on Saturday 25th February. Thank you to Becca for organising such a fantastic event, and best of luck!
Thank you so much to all of our wonderful YAPpers for all they’re doing. We can’t wait to see how your various bake sales and coffee mornings go. Best of luck, all of you!
Want to get involved yourself? It’s not too late to organise your own coffee morning or bake sale. They’re easy to set up, don’t involve months of training and who doesn’t love coffee or cakes? If you want to know more, get in touch with the Lead Fundraiser at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the London office on 020 7253 5272. We can’t wait to hear from you!
