You may remember a few months back, we told you about A Day in My Head - a unique project which combined close to 100 different accounts of living with mental ill health. Put together by Aron Bennett, author of The Walking Worried, A Day in My Head has already been flying off shelves, and helping combat feelings of isolation for people with mental health illness.
One review read "'A Day In My Head' is like no book I've ever read. Rather guiltily, I felt some relief reading the stories from people who both bravely and honestly put down on paper how it feels simply to be them. To feel different, to think differently and have little say over how their day, in this case May 16th 2016, was going to go.".
Now Aron, along with some contributors of the book, will be coming to the popular Brick Lane in Central London for an official book launch. Hosted by Sanchita Islam, this event is your opportunity to hear from people affected by mental health issues, and ask questions about their experiences of writing contributions to this book. The event will take place on 16th March 6.30-9pm.
