A Christmas Message from the Chair of OCD Action

On behalf of the trustees and staff of OCD Action, I wish you all a peaceful Christmas and a healthy New Year.

This has been my first year as chair and was also the 20th anniversary of OCD Action.  The charity has developed hugely in those 20 years but lots remains to be done in supporting people with OCD and raising awareness of this debilitating condition.

Looking ahead to 2015, the OCD week of action will run from 16th February and the next national conference takes place on Saturday 18th April in Manchester, so please make a note of these dates and book your place at the conference soon.

In addition to our current services such as advocacy support, our helpline and website, we hope to do more in 2015 to encourage relevant research and to campaign for appropriate and more timely treatment for people with OCD.

All this work depends on and benefits hugely from volunteers and fund-raisers.  We are so grateful for your contribution and hope that you’ll be able to make the most of the Christmas break.  For those who are struggling with their OCD I hope the Forum will continue to offer friendship and support.

Best wishes

Gillian Knight, Chair, OCD Action
