Last week we told you about our Helpline Co-ordinator Christian Bower, who decided that running the Helpline wasn't enough: he was also going to run a Marathon!
Christian took on the Herculean task of competing in the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 9th April. And we’re delighted to announce that he absolutely smashed it!
This Sunday was the perfect day for this gargantuan run. With the sun shining as he ran by the sea with his colleagues from the Helpline cheering him on, Christian completed the run in an incredible 4 hours 10 minutes 22 seconds. That's well worth a round of applause!
Not only this, but Christian raised a staggering £577.25 (including Gift Aid) for OCD Action through the event. Christian was running to try and raise money to allow the Helpline to continue its vital work, and the money he raised will certainly be a great help in that area.
Here is Christian’s medal after finishing the run:
Thank you so much to Christian, both for his amazing work with OCD Action and his equally amazing performance in the Brighton Marathon!
